Jump Rope for Heart
Exciting news! Jump Rope for Heart kicked off at our school on May 2nd! This is the first year our school will be participating in the national event that puts the “fun” in fundraising. We are thrilled to be jumping into this worthwhile program. Learn more at www.jumpropeforheart.ca.
Last year, Jump Rope for Heart was a huge success across Canada. Nearly 880,000 students participated to support lifesaving research. With your family’s help, our students can also make a big difference in helping to beat heart disease and stroke – our school fundraising goal is $2000!
Leading up to our Jump Event Day, we will be having fun getting active and learning EASY healthy habits – stay tuned for more details to come. Don’t miss out, register today by creating a personal fundraising page for your child/student (here’s how), at: https://jumpropeforheart.crowdchange.ca/81455
May 8 School Council
Please consider attending this month's school council meeting, as Board Trustee Patricia Bolger will be speaking and answering any questions that you may have regarding the role of Trustees in the CBE! Our event will be held in the Learning Commons this Month.
Learning Commons Update
This April has been a vibrant month in the Learning Commons! Students eagerly dove into the wonderful selection of new books that arrived thanks to the Scholastic Book Fair and the Scholastic Dollars earned. The excitement over these fresh reads has created a real buzz around literacy. Furthermore, the Learning Commons became a hub for thoughtful discussions and learning surrounding Earth Day. Through engaging stories, students explored the importance of environmental stewardship and shared practical ways everyone can contribute to taking care of our planet, fostering a sense of responsibility and awareness.
